Microsoft Setup Bootstrapper Has Stopped Working Office 2010 Rating: 4,3/5 3411votes

When you are trying to upgrade Microsoft Office 2010 to Office 2013 the error says Microsoft Setup Bootstrapper has Stopped Working. So I found some tips to fix this. Aug 02, 2015 Microsoft Setup Bootstrapper has stopped working. Boot and then try to install Microsoft Office 2013. For Office 2007, 2010 & 2013. Gears Of War 1 Pc Highly Compressed.

Hi Experts, I am trying to install office 2013 on windows 8.1 without success. I am getting error message as per title. Barney And Friends Font. I have done follwoing steps but no success. Finale Notepad Rapidshare.

Try to install with clean boot but getting the same error message. Try to delete registry ' HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows NT CurrentVersion AppCompatFlags'. After that i installed office 2010 and it's installed successfully but when i try to upgrade it to 2013 i am getting the same error message. So please help me to fix it. Any help or suggestion will be highly appreciated. Regards, Sandeep Poonia Please verify the answer if it helps you.

I am also having issues with this - though I am trying an install from a volume license for office 2013. The machine is a new, self built workstation for the CEO and has had all anticipated errors with Windows Update fixed. All Drivers are up to date. Office has never been installed, but I still get the error.

I have tried deleting the registry key, I can't delete the whole folder - I am presented with an error. I can delete the contents of the folder and they restore themselves within a minute. Booting in safe mode has not yielded any progress either, I have yet to try deleting the registry keys from safe mode. I am in clean boot mode, have restarted numerous times. No other software is installed on this machine yet, aside from Windows Update pushed software. Verified Fix I don't know whether it was one of the motherboard drivers or if a windows update was breaking it, but re-formatting the system from scratch has fixed the error encountered.

Hopefully I don't have to do the same if I want to install Visio or Project, as that would be just plain annoying. Steps taken: - Put set up files, drivers, and updates KB3020369 and KB3172605 on a USB Drive (This will save you a lot of grief getting windows update to work correctly) - Reformat machine to Vanilla Windows 7 Pro 64 bit SP1. Set Automatic Updates to OFF. - Installed USB Driver - Installed Office 2013 from USB Drive (it looked like it was going to give me the error again but then it just went through) - Installed machine drivers - Installed update KB3020369 - Installed update KB3172605 - Ran Windows Update to install 238 other updates - Will need to install further updates after these ones are done, but office works!
